Pretty much all wireless keyboards use 2.4GHz receivers unless they're specifically stated to be Bluetooth. Yours is Bluetooth.

FYI, I'd be very surprised if your adapter was missing the firmware as I test every one after flashing the firmware. You won't actually see the firmware file on the device when plugging it into a PC as it's deleted after flashing.

Well I’ve now reflashed it anyways. I take it it hasn’t caused it any harm doing that? This sort of inportent info isn’t widely available, if I had known I probably wouldn’t have done it.

I’m looking at the specs for the Akko 3061 and I do believe it uses 2.4G as well. All the Bluetooth adaptors I have tried so far won’t power on, i guess when I buy a 2.4G USB receiver that will power on then?

As far as I can tell, it's strictly Bluetooth. Bluetooth uses the 2.4GHz spectrum but it's not the same wireless technology used in other wireless keyboards. If you want to use that keyboard wired, you should be able to do that with a USB-C cable but you won't be able to use it wirelessly.

Thanks for that. In all honesty I’m thinking of ditching this before I even get started. I’ve noticed that it has been messing with the pairing and connection of my BlueRetro DC adaptor that my controller uses. Unplugging the USB4Maple let’s it act normally. I don’t know if this is because what I’m plugging into the maple isn’t up and running yet who knows but it doesn’t look like it’s going to play nice with it inserted.

how easy would it be to add support for raphnet's dreamcast to usb adapter v2:

that way you could continue to use a wired dreamcast controller but have the benefit of saving to usb stick
i have two of those adapters if you need me to test anything.

it would be also nice if with that setup you could use a vmu in the controller for just the display and not the storage so you get the best of both, saving to usb but still having the vmu screen show ingame stats etc

No, hardware USB cannot be reassigned to other GPIOs.

Yeah, I've noticed the Blue Retro receiver is a really, really power-hungry little beast. If it's plugged in and you also have an OEM wired controller plugged in with an OEM VMU with a rechargeable battery mod done (or a VM2), in most cases the wired controller's VMU display will flicker.

I tried this on three different consoles, all of which are fully recapped, and it happens on two of them.
