Hmm, no, even after I forwarded the ports, restart the router, then no matter if I try my own registered name or the pre-generated one it gives me, after I select my display name and it says stuff like "Getting user record", at the "Getting regions" screen it errors out in 1-10 seconds.
EDIT: The fact that sometimes it takes 10 seconds for it to error "Couldn't connect to server", and sometimes it's quick, like 1-2 seconds makes me think the server is actually responding to me, rather than the request timing out. If it was timing out, it would always take the same length of time.
On the other hand, Dreamcast Now at that point is showing that I'm playing the game, so the server to some extent acknowledged my requests, at least to a degree.

SERVER UPDATE!
Shu has finally cracked the Blowfish encryption for the login system! This means the login/registration system is now fully functional. This applies not only to Ooga Booga but to all the 2K sports games and Internet Game Pack.

Some notes:
- If you’ve already played any of the Visual Concepts games before, you can just log in like normal, but keep in mind that the first time you log in after this update, your password will be set permanently. So make sure you remember the password that you type in.
- The username and password you set will be universal across all of the VC games.
- If you’ve never played the any VC games, you’ll need to create an account first. Just say “no” when asked if you already have a screen name.

Re: Ooga Booga Is Back Online!
Holy crap! Shu and I talked a bit when he was first reverse-engineering the protocol, since I was poking at it too. I decompiled the binary in IDA but never managed to find the key. We figured it had to be symmetric encryption due to how the code worked. Any idea what the key finally ended up being?
