Extensions get mixed up.

I've noticed this issue where sometimes my USB4Maple saves virtual VMU's with slightly garbled extensions and it has me kind of concerned.

I made the USB4Maple myself and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the adapter.

I normally keep it on the D port just for saving with a ps4 controller attached to it with a splitter. I switched to a different usb thumb drive but it still causes issues. The current leading theories is that it's either the port being iffy or the usb4maple adapter. I was wondering if anyone else had any issues like this.

Interestingly, I wonder if this is what was happening after I edited my VMU .bin

I assumed it was a lack of GDEmu that was making things weird, but you have one from the look of it and are facing a similar problem.

Can we get a dedicated arcade stick layout? I want to bring this to my fighting game locals but having L only on the L1 and L2 buttons doesn't work well for fighting games. How can I map L to R1?

No dice. Only thing it seemed to change was disabeling r1 and r2 on the gdmenu

Edit: I should clarify. I added the arcade.bin file to the dongle from the first link. installing the maplepad firmware caused no inputs to be read whatsoever. I'm using a gp2040ce controller in direct input mode.

So this is how I connected everything but I don’t know what I did wrong . I used an extension cable. I burned the controller port fuse when I powered on . Am I supposed to ground the grey wire too. I mean the green and white wires are grounds too and they’re connected. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

in Chinese extension cords the colors of the wires do not match the original, you need to check with a multimeter which wire goes where.
P.S. in my extension cord the green wire is VCC

Didn't know this could be done using only a raspeberry pi pico or a STM32F103C8T6, I am going to try that next time. ;)

I did this recently. I tried to use everything that I already had to keep the budget down. I carved/shaped a wooden block and fitted a transparent plastic panel that covers prints ( art ,moves, instructions...). Inside, I have an old 4G memory stick + screen, an arduino microcontroller and a RP2040 ( Usb4Maple).

The nice thing is that it can be used on both Dreamcast and PC, works great. ( don't know if this falls into a another topic category, apologies )
