GD’s and OG DC from 2007. Still going strong with only a Noctua fan and greased internals. Looks like she will stay that way for a long time. Reads burned games as well.

I think we need to add a category for BOTH Optical Disc and GDEMU. Like I play my games on both options. I own a Dreamshell, but I have yet to use it. I figure as far as game playing goes... what's the point if you have the other 2 options.

I'm asking one vote per user. It's ok in post to say all the other options you have. But I made this poll for homebrew/indie research. So I want unique user numbers. Giving members the ability to check multiple boxes will inflate the numbers and we won't know how many unique users are out there.
There are thousands registered for this site but only 150 who have voted.

Just voted. My drive died like a decade ago. I only just got things running again, but I had to switch to a gdemu to replace the bad drive. I'm also concerned about disc rot anyway.

Still spinning them optical discs. Got a serial SD running dreamshell that I use manly for Atomiswave and save backups (realy handy). As long as my Dreamcast is running these discs just fine I'm gonna stick with it and be happy, even though I'm no stranger to meddling with hw. I have a couple of flash carts and I got a ps2 this spring and installed an old sata hdd i had on it. Then I put a GT3 disc in the tray and its what I've used it for the last month or so.
I find scanning my shelf and poping in discs a really convenient arrangement, and I also enjoy making new ones, printing covers and the whole thing, it keeps me involved.
