Someone asked about anamorphic widescreen, so heres Grid3 supporting that.

middle: 4:3 with 4x3 tiles
bottom: 4:3 with 3x3 tiles

Here's a comparison on my new AV gear with 4:3 vs 16:9

Hopefully this helps PAL friends feel more at home.

if its worth doing, its worth doing right!
Plus it gives another test of how all these different systems work together. So thats helpful! Thankfully everything was written in such a way it just worked with zero issues.

Well that's just great :)

May I ask , does the open menu show the coverart for the actual disc (pal GDI shows pal) or does it change with the background theme ?

I'm compiling a list of preferred regions its best to have each game from. Some games have exclusive features in some reasons and not in others.
A good example is Buggy Heat, the Japanese version has Online features and competitive AI play not seen in the PAL version (which in itself has more modes than the US TNN Motorheat)
Another example is Resident Evil: Code Veronica which is the same across PAL and USA except the PAL version does not support VGA for some reason. In that case you'd want the USA version because it's also in English (unlike the Japanese version)

I'll also try to add in if there are translated versions of Japanese games.

It pulls the ID from the disc image you copied to your actual SD with GDMENUCardManager.
So if you copy the PAL gdi, you get PAL art.
Copy the NTSC gdi, you get NTSC art.
Copy both, you see both.
