When I change the theme and grid in Openmenu, where is that info saved? I'm asking because every time I boot up my DC it is reset.

I'm thinking it's probably due to my battery being dead, because it asks me to set date and time also.

openMenu settings are stored directly on the VMU.

If your settings aren't being retained, go to the BIOS and check your VMU for the presence of an openMenu settings file. If one exists, delete it. Then, boot back into openMenu, make your changes, and then Save them.

Reboot and see if the settings are now retained correctly. For some reason, the openMenu save file can get corrupted for reasons unknown (to me).

PS: I'm sure it goes without saying, but your VMU must have space for the openMenu settings save file, of course! Only two blocks required, by the way.

Thanks! I have a VM2 that for some reason won't connect to my DC, so I'll probably try and factory reset it or something and try again.

BTW, does Openmenu create a new VMU image on the VM2 through Gameid like DC games do?

Do a factory reset of the VM2. Be sure to install the USB drivers using the VM2 GUI PC app. After that, you should be able to update your VM2's firmware with no problem. Just be sure to set the VM2 to "GUI Mode" in its settings before you connect it to your computer.

When using openMenu, automatic virtual VMU create/switch is achievable with VM2. Your openMenu settings are automatically saved on the VM2's internal memory (instead of on a virtual VMU on the microSD card). VM2 will automatically detect when openMenu is launched and then load your settings save file from its internal memory.

Add on features possible? To be clear im not requesting but asking if its possible. Thank you for your work and thanks to community for everything. I love my gdemu with openmenu

Can a “ play random game” and “last game played “ option be added to open menu?

Also what about option to show if the mic, camera, lightgun, steering wheel are supported with games like it shows rumble support etc i know if few games that support but would be cool to show

Lastly would be adding more genres like visual novels, typing, music, hombrew/app etc
