There is none. I diddn't notice any slowdown. Like I said the game seems rock solid

I'll have to check again but I'm fairly certain this game is 30fps. My recorded gameplay was skipping every other frame at the point where I tested it. Could have been slow down at that point though.

Yeah that cdi has a vga patch enabled. I tried that cdi on on demul dreamcast emulator and its fine . Soon as I run it on the dreamcast I get the same problem as you. In my case I think it's because im using the orginal AV cables instead of a VGA.

This game worked flawless last night. I was online with TacT and two others racing a few races and not once did I experience a single issue of any kind. Also, I kept hearing "new record" on the various tracks we raced on (obviously I wasn't due to my driving) but either TacT or the other player did.

My burned copy works perfect in VGA (thanx to mrneo)!

I am hearing lots of issues with the CDI i upped.
Notes:
Tested only on VGA for a NTSC v1 console
Game is originally Euro ONLY! (maybe it tries to go PAL)
Ill check tonight (LATE, ETA 10 hours from now) with AV Cables and see.

i couldn't resist. heres the issue
This game was released only in europe and therfore only tested on PAL and VGA,
Running the game with cables results in it defaulting to PAL because there is no switcher (probably also 50hz instead of 60hz)

This is nothing i did, more just an oversight by the developers. Its strange though that the other games in this series do have correct video mode switching.

Mechanic, have you tried to change the color system in the menu of your tv? In some televisions you can shift to PAL <> NTSC
