I Agree, I think you are giving the PSX too much credit lol!. I think it looks way better than VF3.

I TOTALLY agree on that ! 8-)
99-2002 was an extremely short period to get the best of the hardware.
Late Naomi titles (and DC's also) proved that matter of fact (who said Under defeat? )

furthermore, these last ten years, programming tool and libraries grew exponential and performed better and better allowing old generation hardware (wii) to give acceptable graphical perfomance.

it would be the same if the DC stayed alive, and maybe better as SEGA's lead development studios (AM2) were unrivaled to push the hardware limits farther and farther....

I think FV2 is pretty much on par with Bloody Roar 2 (psx). I've played them both, and as a sega afficianado, I can't with a straight face, say that FV2 is significantly better graphically. It does have a very blocky low polygon look compared to naomi titles (the character models look as blocky and low poly as psx models), and the backgrounds certainly don't wow much either. The character designs are far out and I can see people liking this game, but I really don't think it's a graphical showcase for the DC at all, and it looks washed up and outdated even by late 1999/2000 standards.

Of course its gonna look blocky compared to NAOMI offerings. It's a Model 3 release lol! Additionally, I think no one ever mentioned the game to be a showcase for the DC. Dude just said he likes the look of it and I agreed especially when compared to VF3.

Picture taking? I dunno what to classify it as.You take pictures struggling to do things then you head to cut scenes that are 3d replicas of like 3 -5 episodes of the show.

Ah somewhat like Pokemon snap perhaps? I remember seeing the game in an issue of DC Magazine. Certainly looks like a pretty game and I loved the anime seires as a kid!

It looks very pretty , it replicates a few moments of the show very well.Very short game with like 5 missions.I personally like it and my wife who also grew up with the show liked it and found it cute. But if you play, go in with low expectations and its a windows ce game btw.Its a missed opportunity for sega who developed this game, could have been a great looking action game with nice cut scenes. And yes its a little bit like pokemon snap.
