The only 2 times I can think of me in that situation is buying a DS game for $40 and my Sega Dreamcast for $105 ($80 for console, $15 for VMU, $10 for a game).
It just takes alot of time and patience.
I find about 2 retro games a month.
Usually for a 1/4 of the price currently trending on e-bay.
This however is nowhere near what it was like a few years ago.
It was alot easier to build a decent collection then.
