I love how this thread keeps getting updated as the months (and indeed years) go on. I feel that eventually people will just code their own servers by hand if we have to, similar to some of the many other examples of home-brew/reverse engineering we've seen with old legacy consoles.

I just finished UT for the first time :) been following this thread for a long while, I hope this game can come back to life.

I always see it as a potential ‘performance boost’
Anyone who’s dabbled in UT console commands know just how much a performance hit the AI has on gameplay.

The way I see it. Running a human only online match should free some FPS up. Maybe hitting consistent 30-60fps on my 240mhz console...

Would this game benefit from an overclocked Dreamcast in dealing with the framerate drop? Or am i misunderstanding what the pros are to an overclocked DC?

I used to play quite a lot this game back in the day on DC, it was not as fluid as Quake, but playing against more than 6 people on the same scneario was awesome.

I would love to play it once again online!
