Hello folks,
Yes, it's been quite a long time since our last update but we do have some information...
First off, we must say that we understand that many of you are impatient to see some images and details of the game but we are a small group of people putting this together and so what we must do must take time and we have many images to share however we need to discuss some aspects with our illustrators regarding releases of their work on the web.
Second, we have now fully discussed a tentative release date for the Tahi game and the release date will be 08 - 2011. If there are any changes to that date, we will let everyone know in advance.
We've been compiling source code from different locations, tearing it apart, analyzing and recoding our own segments for the game. We've already begun writing a diagram outline of what structure we will need and what classes and dependencies are going to be required in order to program this game successfully.
Our largest challenge is actually not the online capability at this point, it's actually the 3D rendering and display of the game; that has been our biggest challenge as of now.
And as for our website, we are a little behind on it, our main concern at this point is making sure that our team is maintained properly and we all have our assigned roles. Once we have that in order, the official TAHI website under
http://www.reticonentertainment.org will go up.
We have talked to our musical composer (Sean), and after ping-ponging some thoughts as to how the soundtrack to the game will sound like, we have come to a consensus. The game will focus more on electronic and instrumental music more than 'heavy metal' as our first website implied (though we will use that song). The music can be best reflected as 'Zelda: Ocarina of Time' With melodies that can be easily 'hummable' and recognizable. He will be composing his soundtrack using Logic Pro 9.
Also located below are some VERY recent character concept designs for the game from Jordan our Illustrator!
And now, here is something that YOU could help us out with! We are currently designing our in-game display UI and we have come across a few designs, but what we want to know is, what would YOU like in a user interface when playing a game, and how should it look?
P.S. We have also posted this same topic at our website
http://www.reticonentertainment.org along with a FEW MORE images!
