Codebreaker all cheats save file available to download *UPDATED 2025-04-24*

After several years of manually inputting Codebreaker codes using the DC controller whenever I wanted to try a new game, I discovered Xplorer DC Code Compiler recently and decided to put together a complete CodeBreaker cheats file containing:

- all unique codes from GameHacking.org
- codes already built into CodeBreaker
- widescreen codes
- other codes from the Dreamcast-Talk forum


I used the following criteria to determine which codes to add:

- one game one region (1G1R) - this is mostly USA with some Japan-only games but there are a few games which I included PAL cheats for due to one of the following reasons:
- I've personally played through those games in their entirety using those codes and found they worked better than their NTSC equivalents (e.g. Record of Lodoss War, Silver)
- cheat code creators have posted codes for a PAL version of a game which have no NTSC equivalent

- all codes are decrypted (CodeBreaker/XplorerDC). Any encrypted (Action Replay/GameShark) codes have been converted to decrypted format using DCcrypt


I've included:

- fcdcheats (openMenu).txt file containing all the codes (this can be loaded into Xplorer DC Code Compiler and edited further)

- the resulting FCDCHEATS.BIN file generated from fcdcheats.txt, ready for use with openMenu. Unlike previous versions of this cheats file, this will NOT fit on a standard 200 block VMU. If you require a version of the cheats file that will fit on a VMU, please use version 1.2 instead - this takes up 198 out of 200 blocks on a VMU


Instructions:

Extract FCDCHEATS.BIN from the ZIP file then copy it to the following folder inside GDMENU Card Manager, overwriting the old one:

OPENMENU\GDMENUCardManager.v2.0.1-win-x64\tools\openMenu\menu_data\cheats\

Of course, you must then open GDMENU Card Manager with your SD card loaded, then click "Save Changes" in order to rebuild openMenu with the new cheat database.

Also wanted to say that you could put credits about who created the codes, somewhere if possible.
Another thing I wanted to say is that you can request for new codes on discord channel of Gamehacking.org, discord channel because the forum is read only now.

No, thank you LuC for doing the real technical work of finding these codes - all I'm doing is piggybacking off it. I keep an eye on the DC page on Gamehacking.org daily and it's invariably you who's creating these codes for games that nobody else has done before and at such a prolific rate too.

You're right in that the authors should be credited and I'll add something in the next version of the cheats file to indicate this (even if it's just a list of cheat authors in the readme). Thanks again for all of your work and looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future!

ok... can some one clear this up for me, i read thru ALL 10 pages, and it just made things worse.

1. The updated file... is that alone have all the codes??? or not... i read that it COMPLIMENTS codebreaker, just adding codes that coderbeaker dosnt have... if it dosnt, does sthe fcdcheats(openmenu).txt have ALL the codes... even the ones that would be in codebreaker??

2. im trying to test this on openmenu.. but the cheats folder in the directory im supposed to put the bin file isnt there. i can go to where the chets folder SHOULD be...but that "cheats" folders missing.... what am i doing wrong.

3. I asked if this file is complete, because i want to make a maser standalone codebreaker script for pc use. but i need all codes for this... so is this really complete on its own now after th most recent update..?

also, what about codes that dont work, i have played one game, and the codees dont work on a gdemu NOR an emulator.. the code dosnt work anywhere. I thought they were tested? toryboards cheat in spiderman dont work

1. fcdcheats (openmenu).txt that comes with version 2.5 of the cheats file has all codes, including ones that are built into Codebreaker. Version 1.2 of the cheats file only has cheats that complement Codebreaker i.e. cheats that are NOT built into Codebreaker.

3. Yes, version 2.5 of the file is complete on its own although I've got another update in the works with a few more codes that I've found since.

I've only compiled the codes from various sources but not tested most of them - can you let me know which ones exactly you've found not to work and I'll delete them or find alternative codes? e.g. for the unlock storyboards cheat in Spider-Man, can you try this instead:
