Questions:
• Is it any easier to see than the original N64 version?
• Is it possible to save mid-level, like in OG Doom?
I remember those were my 2 issues with the N64 version. Those levels can get quite long and maze-like.

Doom 64 is the best of classic dooms, too bad it never got much recognition in the past. Project like this makes it so it can get the second time in the public awareness!

Howdy. I'm playing from the SD card adaptor and the sprites of the enemies don't appear. Does any one have the same problem? (maybe I just need to chnage the dreamshell configuration or download the new dreamshell version, the version I'm using is the one that came with the atomiswave games from here, like 2 years ago. DCA 3 works great from the SD adaptor)

I have been playing the latest version via Dreamshell/SD card without any problems so far. Very happy that VMU saving and rumble made it in. (Though it did give an error with the VM2 so I am using a USB4MAPLE instead, seems to work great.) I am using the latest DS so maybe try updating that?

It's not really allowed to redistribute doom64 game files as the author said here:
https://github.com/jnmartin84/doom64-dc/issues/47

But lucky for you, I've written Makefiles to automate/simplify the build process:
https://github.com/hcartiaux/doom64-dc-makefile/

Someone has even contributed a Dockerfile, if you cannot manage to build on your system, it should work in all cases inside an Ubuntu 24.04 container.

You don't get it MoeFoh, JNMartin does not want to support the distribution/availability of a release including the Doom64 files (extracted from the n64 rom and from the Steam game), because it's a very good way to get a DMCA takedown and close the whole project. But he's still supporting the project, fixing bugs and pushing commits as of today, in example this last one: https://github.com/jnmartin84/doom64-dc/issues/38

btw I've not played long enough to encounter this bug, but it may be worth to wait for a fix...

How can turn this Doom 64 CDI into a Iso or GDI which can run on Latest Dreamshell SD Serial Port?
