Awesome videos as always Ultra. I apologize for name calling in pm last year, hope you are too and we are over that.

What dc or vg goodies are you going to get in 2013 ?

And will you do another "ultras video game setup room" video ? LOL ?

Once again thx for posting that video for me. Looking for that game on ebay.

Great talking video, I liked the intro production, great sound quality, topic etc hey you should shout me out in "talking volume 2" about sdisos like "hey djvectorman let me know some games don't work for dreamshell 4" LOL.

One thing I want to mention is, I don't think saying "there is nothing more Sega could have done" is a valid point for it's main demise. I know what you meant by that, Sega went broke...but it's biggest downfall was the fad of dvds on ps2. There were many dreamcasts still on the market, but they couldn't even give them away for free basically as people just wanted a ps2. The older I get, the more I realize how Segas management screwed the entire companies image basically from 1995 to 1999.

Sony was at their PRIME then. Can a ps2 even play dvdhd or dvd9 or doublesided dvds ? I had a cheap dvd player from Japan (dvds were released earlier in Japan, in fact in Godzilla2000 they had an early handheld dvd recorder in a scene and there was a ps2 dvd recorder model in Japan) then. So I never understood the dvd craze here then, as I already had one. But others as you said yourself, was their first introduction to that.

Just my opinion. Like I said I liked the video, just wanted to say this here not on your youtube.

Thanks for watching dj! Obviously this is all just speculation. Everyone has their opinion on why they think the Dreamcast "failed". The fact of the matter is, we'll never really know (unless someone invents a time machine of course  ). It was most likely a combination of all the points I brought up. I just think that it was mostly because of SEGA's reputation at the time. I'm sure a lot of people were thinking "How long is SEGA going to support this new console before they drop it in favor of the next one?".

Anyway, regardless of how it happened, I'm sure most people here including myself consider the Dreamcast still alive and kicking! :D

Oh and be sure to make a comment on the video anyway (and even make a video response if you so desire) if you'd like an entry into the contest to win a free game!

I agree 13 and cool. I remember my friends wanted to play nba97. They said damn our ps1 is broke though. I said hey I have my saturn in the car with nba97. They huffed, thought about it then said ok. After 5 minutes they said we don't really like this on saturn man no wonder nobody really bought a saturn. I'll wait until I get my ps1 fixed and we can play. I was like wow.

That's when sega reputation with public became sour, after the surprise hey saturn is out for 400 dollars right now and it's constant fall to ps1 even with commercials, it kind of became a joke. Quickly they cut it. And as you said, dc had to carry that with it if sega will cut that too soon, which they basically did. For the record both my saturn and dc are still alive and I like them both.

A new vid up on my channel. Surf Rocket Racer playthrough in default 3rd person view. I say it before and i'll say it again. It ain't Wave Race, but it's still quite good.

And an oldie vid but goodie. PowerStone 2 Team Co-op Vs. alongside my buddy Shanks. While attending SoCal Regionals tournament over the weekend. I mentioned there was a Dreamcast setup in the casual play area. When I returned back after getting some lunch, 3 fellas where on the DC playing a copy of PowerStone 2 someone brought. I immediately joined for some Four-Play and cleaned house with my Pete, Rouge, Ayame and Ryoma. It WAS so much fun. I wish more people would play the game in a competitive level.
