Strange barcode on the underside of my DC

Sup?
The barcode on the underside of my dreamcast starts with "DR". Here is a screenshot:

Afaik it always starts with "DE" or "DU". Can someone tell me what the "DR" stands for? Thx :)

Try scanning it with an app. DR for dreamcast i guess

Are there "fake" Dreamcast consoles? I've never heard of them.

I've never encountered an "fake" Dreamcast before. What are the differences compared to the original, and why do you think this one is fake?

Barcode seems to exist. It's an another model as my PAL model.

That's just the serial number of the console.

If you bought one new in a store, it would show through a cutout in the box, so that the stores could scan it for warranty purposes.

Although I am not saying this applies to your DC, I have two that have a game store barcode "after-the-fact" for their own pricing and inventory.
