Hey guys,
I have been looking around the net but i cant manage to find any pdf's of any of the dreamcast magazines, im sure im not the only one interested in reading them.

The website retromags.com has a couple but you need to be a full member.
i have an issue of the unnoficial UK one coming soon so i can scan that.

If anyone has any could they please post them up?

The US official magazines make use of a primitve form of copy protection that's just slightly more effective than the GD-ROM format, they're oversized at 9 1/8" wide. They don't exactly fit on a flatbed scanner to well. Standard size scanners are only 8 1/2" wide. Even the high-end commercial grade scanner where I work is only 8 1/2" wide. So you're practically gauranteed to miss some of the page text whenever you try to scan a whole page.

Aussie,

Some of the new copiers can scan up to 11" x 17" (27.94cm x 431.80cm) and make a pdf at the same time. Kyocera has a few copier/printer/scanner full-size office models (it even punches holes and staples...lol!). They scan faster than a PC/home counter-part. This is what I'd look into.

Ah, now that you mention it, we have a Xerox machine that does all that. But it can only save scanned images in B&W.

Well, what you can do is make the B&W PDF file, then scan only the neccesary pages that you need in color. Then create your files from that by replacing pages as deems fit. Now, if the item you have requires ALL color, then you have a tougher road to take.

Just for the record, some B&W copiers that scan have a color scan option in the submenu. The copier we have DOES have that ability, you just have to set it to use the option being the default is B&W.
