Server/Website Maintenance January 16

Hello guys,

We have to make an important update to the server by installing FreeBSD 11.1. We'll be taking the server offline to perform this update. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can expect the server to be offline for most of the day Tuesday, January 16th (USA time zones) as we backup and perform the update. Hopefully it goes faster than planned and we're back in action the same day. During the outage you can expect to see a landing page with our IRC channel running. Or refer to the Skype group to continue discussions.

By the way, our server network speed will be going gigabit in the next few weeks. Not that it matters too much for our application but still awesome 8-)

Thanks for your understanding. See you online!

Thank you, Impulse, for your continued work on this forum. I much prefer "the old ways" to the new, and I find forums, IRC, and Skype to be perfectly useable.

Besides, it's not about the technology so much as it is about the people and the content they make. And if the content can be kept "open and free," then it is all the better.
