Finally, I got a hand to finish the PC-DC server
Q: How is this server different from the rest?
A: this server uses the same script as DreamPI
you will have Dreamcast NOW
users can connect to you in sports 2K games
in other words, if you do not have money to buy RaspberryPI, then download this PC-DC, with it you will get the same functionality

would it be possible one day to have other modem support? like win modem that would make it much cheaper thing for people with hardware in hand?
what is the problems with making it support other modems?

Re: configured PC-DC for VirtualBOX
As long as the winmodem is voice capable and supports the commands the dreampi script is sending, it should work. You would set up the virtual machine to have a com port mapped to whichever com port your winmodem is installed on your host windows machine. That way windows takes care of all the needed drivers. You would still need a line voltage inducer of course.Ian Micheal wrote: would it be possible one day to have other modem support? like win modem that would make it much cheaper thing for people with hardware in hand?

Re: configured PC-DC for VirtualBOX
Those are voice commands which is why I prefaced my comment by saying it has to be a voice capable modem. A lot of winmodems aren't, but they do exist. The easiest solution, is yes, to just use the recommended dreampi modem.megavolt85 wrote:this PC-DC have linuxant driver for soft modem

Also, thank you for this solution. I can confirm it does work for me in Virtual Box using the dreampi modem

Re: configured PC-DC for VirtualBOX
Looks a lot easier than the old method!
Does it also fix the issues with AFO not working and Windows CE games taking several tries to connect?
