Anyone that has bought any of the GDEMU 5.15b (clones I guess) can link where they got theirs from?
Ideally not a sller from China, US/UK/Europe so that it doesn't arrive 3 months from now.
Thanks

UK or US based? If eBay, just check their location, then send them a message to see if they are domestic based.
If you are trying to get a 5.15b because the pictures show the correct Atmel chip, well, it probably won’t be when you get it. I’ve bought 3 and they all had the wrong chip despite what was pictured. The crystala/osciallators were the correct values though. Also the drive connector will be hacked down to fit... one of those I received was very ‘particular’ about its alignment. I don’t know if the other versions have the right oscillators or hacked up drive connectors.
Original is more expensive and a bit of a pain to order but it’s also not made of lies

Re: GDEMU sellers
I recently picked up an inexpensive 5.5 version from ebay which works fine so far with 32gb SD cards. Not sure about the difference between 5.5 and 5.15 though.

Re: GDEMU sellers
Yup I get that about the "hacked up" connector bought a 5.5 version and the connector was cut off at the end.
Also couldn't ever get it to work with any SD card.
Was wondering if anyone can link something on ebay that they got working, there's a ton of them on aliexpress but delivery wait times are insane right now with China

Re: GDEMU sellers
Interesting, so they are probably still manufacturing the various 5.5/5.15 variants as well as the latest 5.15b. I think whatever connector it is they are cutting down to work must simply be cheaper than the correct one. I thought maybe the older variants still available were just old stock.sd_dracula wrote:Yup I get that about the "hacked up" connector bought a 5.5 version and the connector was cut off at the end.

Did that 5.5 You bought have the right oscillators on the bottom? The older 5.5s didn’t, and I thought that was part of the point of making a 5.15/5.15b model. Probably makes more sense just to buy the cheaper 5.5 model if it has the right oscillators.

Re: GDEMU sellers
I originally bought a 256GB Samsung, but the SD card maker would fail and corrupt after about 30 games. Worked fine with the GDEMU though when I tested it.enfilade wrote:FYI if you wan't to try a bigger card, I also have version 5.5 that works perfect with a 128gb carddannycas wrote:I recently picked up an inexpensive 5.5 version from ebay which works fine so far with 32gb SD cards. I have no idea what the problem was, but instead of diving into that mess I just bought a few 32gb and haven't had any issues.
Needed an SD to stick in the Switch anyway, even if 256 is a bit overkill for that...

Re: GDEMU sellers
I bought a clone from china (took about 6 weeks).
Works perfect with a sandisk 500 gb.
I also had some problems with the mad sheep program. Seems to be a bit buggy. But now everything is working fine. I copied all the files from my working sd card to my computer as a backup.
