I stopped paying attention to all things BOR-related around 2005. What have I missed out on?

I remember feeling like every BOR mod played exactly the same, they were all just asset flips. Googling it now, I see that BOR came out in late 2003 so this was still early on in its lifespan.

What are some of the more standout, unique BOR games that you'd recommend? Have there been many clever uses of it, or do they still all pretty much play the same?
