How to compress audio and FMV files on GDI images?

Long story short, the serial SD adapter is not perfect and the read speed is sub optimal. I have my GDI collection and want to know how to compress the audio and video files so that they can be read faster (and also all fit in a 32 gig card).
I have no idea how old and obtuse the tools for doing this are and the tutorials I found here had broken links.
I am willing to put the time into this and don't expect it to be simple.
Any help is appreciated.

@swat has done a tool.
The downsample is almost invisible and run quiet well with the serial sd card reader.

Lots of downloads on that page, which one? It's all cyrilics
Also, do I need cdis or gdis for it?

You have a des pack, if I remember well.

You have to extract your data from gdi or cdi, put your sfd in "in" folder run the batch and get your sfd downsample in "out" folder.

And of course repack your game.
