I was just roaming around Sega of America forums and all of the Sega fans are foaming at the mouth.....(roaming...foaming? hmmm) about IGN leaving out NUMEROUS good games on the system and the cherry on the top of the crapola sundae would be their REFUSAL to put Shenmue in there.

The reason why? Cause it didn't sell enough nor did they think it was a impressive game. I'm paraphrasing here. And no. I'm not linking to the top 25 list because I will forever live in shame if I give IGN publicity for such vile and horrid journalism.

I saw it, didn't see sonic adventure and neither sonic adventure 2.
I was suprised to see some games in the 1st positions and some games in the last ones, but not including shenmue, sonic adventure or metropolis street racer was a bit odd.

I saw that IGN list, too. What a joke. Not a single shmup. I know it was US releases only, but still Giga Wing 2 or Mars Matrix should have been there. And MvC2 is #1??? Don't get me wrong, I love that game but it's not even the best FIGHTER on the DC let alone best game overall. Sonic Adventure wasn't there either. I mean, I know it has it's problems but it was an iconic DC game.

I actually hate Shenmue, so I didn't mind it not being there. I know that game has a ton of fans but in my experience most of the Shenmue crowd are these Japanophiles who were too busy worshiping Squaresoft to pay attention to the DC back in 99.

You hit it, Ringedge2010. I previously stated this about the IGN morons who have no real credibility but found themselves in the all-self-important spotlight (link is below to my statement). Did they go to Harvard University to be a "Video Game Expert"? I didn't see that class listed when I was University shopping.

Coolinator, great find! I did not look for the list being I'd rather clean garbage cans than read IGN's sloppy website. If these guys are sooooo good, why does the site look like it was made with Microsoft Front Page 2000?

I cannot respect anyone who does not correctly prioritize "game vs. girlfriend" correctly. This was a "no-brainer", he just made that up to make it sound like he's a stud.

Ya, that's one reason why I use Gamespot.com to browse the new video games that come out because IGN website looks like a chaotic train station. And your right, who the hell are these people kidding? I can get up there and say the same exact crap as them. Their Mommy's or Daddy's probably got that the job there or it just pays crap.

AND WHAT IS UP WITH A GUY NAMED "HILLARY" and no....I don't believe that that pastey, scruffle, round headed, ginger kid can get a date like he said in the video.

Even though I'm a big fan of the game both in story and mechanics I do understand that its a hit or miss with some Sega fans. I'm no a japanophile I actually think they are odd people. Have you ever seen one of their game shows? What's wrong with them?

WOW! I searched through that list twice for SA and was shocked to find it MIA. How could they NOT put that game in the top 25? Someone must have really hated "Tails"
