IMGBurn giving tons of miscompare errors after building new PC

I'm using the same disk drive as before, although I have tried multiple other disk drives. I've tried many different CDI images, and they are all giving miscompare errors during the verification stage. One of the games did work in my Dreamcast despite the errors, but others either failed to boot or crash when loading certain parts of the game. The discs are new, without any scratches, and I have successfully used these discs to burn games in the past. I've also tried burning at 4x speed (I know this is the recommended speed, but 16x hasn't previously failed me).
This all started after I built my new Ryzen system. Could it have something to do with that? I was previously using Intel.
Here are some examples of the errors that I've been getting:
Miscompare at LBA: 16, Offset: 2072
Note: The drive probably corrected the EDC Area because it's wrong in the image file.
If anyone could help me out, please let me know

From all the tutorials I've gathered, the general consensus on burning speeds is to go as low as possible. Unless 4x is in fact the lowest possible you can go, you should be burning your CDs at 1x or 2x.

Burn at the speed rated dont use compare got videos burning at 12x game works perfect this old stuff when media was junk and so where burners.. Not img burn it's your burner works flawless with plextor dvd burner.. More to do with hardware then burn speed on Dreamcast i have burned at 52x still worked flawless..Dreamcast gdrom being old and worn out more then anything i have 12 Dreamcast same burn only works on 5 of them.. That's the gdroms not the speed of burning media ..

Just thought I would add to this thread what I learned on a different thread. It helped a lot.
Code: Select all
https://www.dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6836
Code: Select all
What you need:
Paddus DiscJuggler 6
Backup Image
Blank CD
Right click your .cdi and open with DiscJuggler
On the first "Source & Destination" tab; Under "Action" make sure it is set to write. Not "Write and verify". Verify never works for me.
The image usually overrides the burn speed, but incase it doesnt, set it to 8x anyway. NOT TOO LOW, as i think the burn speed dictates the speed the disc can be read.
In the "Advanced Tab"; set "Mode" to "Mode 1/DVD". Block to "2352".
TOC to CD-XA
Check the following boxes: "Add post-gap to 3rd party images" "RAW write" and "Overburn disc"
Insert your cd-r
Click Start
Upon completion test your backup and it should load up fine
It doesn’t play the Jimi Neutron song at the end of the burn, though, but it does burn the cds 100% by the way thanks Dr. Treamcast.
