Is there any tool that can use DreamConn+ to extract saves?

Hi, I have the DreamConn+ controllers. They are wireless, but have a USB adapter. Presumably they should allow a PC to access the VMU to copy saves. I just can't find a program that would use the hardware.
Alternatively, I tried using "Dream Explorer" by putting the disc image in a console that uses "Dream Explorer" but even though it shows up correctly in GDmenu it runs as a music file in the system menu.

The USB adapter with the small plug on the other end is for charging the battery only. To transfer VMU saves you connect the controller to a PC via Bluetooth. Using the software that is available on the site, it will recognize the controller and VMU attached. At that point you can download / upload VMU saves.
The PDF manual and software to transfer files are at:

My computer has Bluetooth, but when I click to add a device and have the DreamConn+ on and near it nothing is detected. How to I go into pairing mode? The user's guide doesn't mention that.
If I run the DreamConn+ Utility and choose "select Bluetooth Device" it lists paired controllers and on the bottom it says:
1. Check your bluetooth adapter is enabled.
2. Check the controller is paired with your PC.
What I am stuck on now is the second point, how to pair it with my PC. The utility won't work until I do.

Turn on the Dreamconn but not the Dreamcast. That will turn on the Bluetooth in the controller and allow your PC to find it. I don't recall the name of the device, but it should show up when you search for it.
Everyone you want to transfer VMU saves to the computer just turn on the Dreamconn only and have your PC connect to the controller.
