Hi I just registered and I don't even have a dreamcast yet but I will get one soon. But if you want to play quake 3 online then do you have to type the ip adress in of the server or will it already there. I would be using the dial-up modem if that helps anybody.
Also if you download the PSO game that has automatic connection to this server will it run on a NTSC-U system or will I need codebreaker. I am trying to see if there is a way to not use codebreaker becuase there are only two left on Amazon and they are 35 dollars. Thanks in advance.

I didnt know I could do that. I though there would be some sort of security mechanism like ps2. Im so used to that. So I can Just play a PAL game on an NTSC-U SYstem thats burnt with no problems what so ever?

you'll find it up for download @ snesorama
and yes, the dc only needs a bootdisk, no hardware modding or shit. it sorta plays copied games straight out of the box
sega forgot to add copy protection so thats one of the reasons of its early demise

Welcome, Favrenation.
For Q3 there is a master list that shows all the servers that wish to be listed on it. You can also manually enter IP addresses if the master list isn't showing up or if a server isn't listed there.
You do not need codebreaker at all when using the auto connect pso version. You don't need any boot disc either.

Well there are a lot more dreamcast sites, but this is the one where you won't find many assholes, pricks or god's wannabes...
Quite all nice people
