I typically don't share my music.
Taking a cue from ian michael.
I figured why not?
Its probably time I start to be more open.
I will add more songs eventually.

Vocals and rhythm guitar by (ME)

This was the last song I wrote and recorded a demo of a few years ago.
Short and simple.

-Until the End-

Your stepping out into the cold again my friend
My friend you have gone into the end
My friend you have gone
My friend you have gone

And you'll be there when I call for you until the end
And I'll be there when you call again until the end
And you know that its always true
You're a friend
Until the end

Cool stuff. Who knew all the musical talent here at dreamcast-talk lol

I'm also an amateur songwriter and recording artist. I've probably done hundreds of songs over the last 15 years primarily rock and hip hop stuff. I don't think I want to make my own thread here but I'll share one or two if people want.

Here you go. I'm usually very private about my music so you guys are like the first to hear this stuff outside of my close friends.

dark, thank you for sharing your songs.

life after death - is this about working your life away, feeling that there is nothing left to leave behind? that life is worth more than this?
jesse james - country style intro with 60s vibe vocals , cool organ sound hammond? after intro.
slipstream - 60s vibes, i like this one the best. great guitar sound.
secrets - this one is good too. i like the vocal hook.

nice thread, fresh air :)

let me remember ages ago, when for two years i was an audio technician and manager at same time of a friends band.
100% tapes era, 100% amatorial, still amazing period

i remember one time i took the place of the singer, because he was injured...
there are pumped tales of an unofficial tape of that live performance

as italian (so considering only the music side), if i must choose only one here, i choose @SMITH Empty and @dark Slipstream

SMITH, what's about the Alvin like voice on Boot Oh song?

Thanks. Life After Death is just rapping about life and how its worthwhile to make your time in life count and do something to leave a mark, as part of that, the lyrics you mentioned reflect briefly on working a boring office job that uses up most of your waking hours and causes time to pass quickly as kind of a "is this really the best way to live life?" rhetorical question.

Jesse James, yeah that's a hammond organ sound, though it is from the Native Instruments B3 virtual instrument as opposed to an actual hammond organ from the 1960s or 1970s. All instruments and vocals are by me, I was trying to do something like the 60s group The Byrds, the guitars are all 12 strings.

Slipstream, thanks for the comments. All instruments and vocals are by me. It's a 12 string guitar so that gives it a neat high octave sound.

Secrets - since this is a hip hop track, in true hip hop fashion I just sampled someone else's music to make a beat. In this case, it is "Leon Bridges - Conversion." The vocal hook is part of the sample, so that's Leon Bridges and not me

SMITH, what's about the Alvin like voice on Boot Oh song?
so there is a recording of a live performance?
share it with us if you can.

the alvin voice lol...
its actually a nod to the band ween from the album chocolate and cheese and an obscure nirvana demo called "beans"
maybe i wanted a "walking the cow" type of song? idk it was just a fun 4 track tape recording.
