PSO works amazingly, but AFO doesn’t even have anything in the boxes when I try to dial up

Quake works now I thought it was asking me for a server password but it was my own password, but AFO is just not working, I have seen people saying that DMZ or Port forwarding might work which is fine but my AFO won’t even acknowledge that there is a modem in the Dreamcast, it just loads a bit nothing in the boxes, then says can’t find communication device

You'll need to configure your Dreamcast with a US web browser. AFO doesn't recognize the configuration from DreamKey.

But I have a PAL DC it won’t read the disc if I was to use a non PAL Disc it won’t work or would I need to burn it to a disc? If so I can’t cause I don’t have a PC will probably need to pay someone to do it for me

Any way to alter the network issues PlanetWeb/US browsers create in their titles? Perhaps a way to patch in Dreamkey/Dream Passport settings over instead? This is far from the onyl issue the PlanetWeb setup brings when connecting, as well as being the least efficient and lowest quality browser.

If we could find a way to somehow unify the connection methods across game regions, that would resolve major migraines. Quite often using PlanetWeb to reconfigure the modem for AFO/POD Speedzone causes errors in the Dreamkey/Passport connection configurations - and half the time (at least) doesn't actually configure AFO/Speedzone properly either. We need to ditch the botched US protocols sooner rather than later if it's possible (though I appreciate it may require source code to patch, I'm not well versed on the modding side of things).

How are you playing AFO if you can't play imports? It's a US exclusive. lol In any case, you can burn a copy of XDP from the DC Live Downloads page.

I'm not sure why you're experiencing these issues. Maybe you messed something up configuration-wise at some point. A wipe of the internal memory might be a good idea. I use strictly PlanetWeb 3.0 to configure my ISP setting and it works with every single game and that includes PAL versions. It's not true the opposite way around however as configuring with DreamKey will result in some games not accepting the config (mainly US exclusives). My recommendation would be to only use PlanetWeb if you have it.

Will Planetweb configs work on Dream Passport and Dreamkey browsers as well? Otherwise that's a no from me. PlanetWeb is a vile browser with zero redeeming qualities over the other two. However I will give it a thumbs up if I can config on there and play all my games and use the other browsers too.

It works with XDP which is a modified version of DreamPassport (translated into English of course). I believe as far as Dreamcast browsers go, XDP is the most robust and up-to-date.

I bought a reproduction of AFO from a Etsy seller so that’s how I have it, as long as I have PSO and Quake 3 I am happy but thanks PC & Roareye
