I assume everyone knows about the NES to DC solution brought by the guy who made flea, but if not I'll include the bins.
I'm just wondering. I keep playing it from the rom and then cdi and back again.
If anyone would, could you download the game and tell me does it seem just a tiny bit sluggish to you? Not terribly slow, less than a second, but seems a bit slow for platforming. Close enough to make me question myself though. Maybe it's a bit slow because I expected it to be slow and it's just in my head.
Would messing with the mapper help at all? I noticed some games definitely work better than other because, for me, Return of the Joker didn't work at all. So I know messing with the mapper is a good idea for that one but would different mappers maybe equate to different speeds? Or is it more like it either runs or doesn't?

Re: Batman Unmasked NES on DC
What emulator are you using it's fullspeed on nester dc 6 and can autoboot nes games just the same ? what's this got to do with flea homebrew game? Are you using the bin from that homebrew game..
Nes is fullspeed with the proper emulator

Oh, sorry, I'll try to better explain. I just assumed y'all already knew all about it.Ian Micheal wrote:What emulator are you using it's fullspeed on nester dc 6 and can autoboot nes games just the same ? what's this got to do with flea homebrew game? Are you using the bin from that homebrew game..

I feel kinda dumb because I didn't even think about the emulator telling me my speed. I don't know how to get Nester to show me framerate to absolutely know when I'm running at full speed or not. Yes on windows, I can confirm nothing wrong with the rom itself.
I'm having a hard time finding the page I originally found, but, I did find a YT video that explains the modification to nester and the connection to flea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAG-a76pH6A
"bins" I just meant 1st_read and ip; the emulator. I think it's Nester 7
Basically, I found the NES version of what you had just done with the UAE4All not long ago. Emu + one game launching right into the game. To be honest I'm just messing around with it, I don't have an end goal in mind but while mucking about I noticed quickly it's a hit and miss sort of thing, but, like the video explains if you use the iNES Mapper tool to change the mapper and mirrors around you can get some non-working games working, and, if you take an obviously struggling game, slow, glitchy, some such problem like that, and mess with the mapper you can get them running better.
At a certain point in improving it became difficult to tell, am I done or just close to it? Am I even skilled enough to feel absolute fullspeed or can close to it trick me? Kinda got in my own head and just couldn't tell if Batman was as good as I can get it or if I should mess with it more.
But like I said, I was stupid about it, didn't even think to check framerate....which is...you know, duh. lol. But if you didn't know about this autoloading nester then this thread's got a good serendipitous purpose anyway.

Re: Batman Unmasked NES on DC
Yeah nester dc could auto launch nes games since 3.0 got be careful which version your using 3.0 was not fullspeed 6.0 was There was many version of nesterdc etc with updates dc homebrew is like that there is no 1 version you find that does it all.. Many updates by people like my self on projects over the years if you just find one you dont know which or by who..
There is nesterdc versions that run at 40 fps for example
Flea has nothing to do with nesterdc auto porting nes games it could do it from version 1 i asked for it back in the day to use with my single game mame games sga in about 2002
