Cleaned up a few dirty consoles over the weekend and did some retro-brighting to reverse the tanning. I used 12 percent Creme and the results came out pretty good. Only problem is that a week later they still have a somewhat pungent smell even after vigorous washing in water and cleaning with paper towels.

Is there any know solution that can neutralize the odor or will it just take more time.

I would have tried washing it again before assembling back together
