Why are DC options so few?

Hello all! I’m new here. I’ve recently acquired a Sony BVM D24 and one of my main reason for getting one is to hook up a DC and enjoy games in lovely 480p. However I’ve searched high and low for a good cable option and I’ve so far learnt that the Toro box from Beharbos seems to have issues with these specific monitors. The best option I was recommended was Retro Access 15/31 hz cable. So I waited for weeks until they would restock these cables on their website and to my shock I noticed that they don’t even ship to Europe :-(
Is there anyone who got one of these cables for spare?
Also please don’t recommend RGC, I’ve had alot of issues with the quality of their cables in recent time.
Why are there so few quality options for DC :-(

Few? The DC video output is the most versatile up to that point in time, you can literally hook it up with anything from rf all the way up to vga…

The Dreamcast has more display options these days than any other console. I think the problem is you're trying to hook it up to a broadcast monitor. RGB/SCART cables are primarily sold through retro-access these days. Basically the only "limitation" is that there aren't OEM component cables, but DC outputs VGA which is better than that.

PVMs are amazing, I use mine for PS1 primarily. For DC however, I recommend looking for an old computer monitor if you must use cathode ray, otherwise just use a modern display. No retro console looks better on an LCD than a Dreamcast.

As I mentioned I’m using a BVM D24 which supports 480p all the way up to 1080i. The thing is that there are too few options to hook up the DC to it. Anyone know if Retro Access will ship to Europe any time soon??

Well, since you say your monitor is the culprit, you basically have your answer. You can either go through a whole slew of (good or bad) vga cables & boxes, or you can get another screen that supports any signal...it's really up to you. OG Sega VGA boxes are expensive, but I've never had any troubles with those

I assume by few, you're referring to composite sync with 480p. The easiest solution is getting any DC vga cable and then use an Extron RGB interface (google it) to combine H+V sync to composite sync. If you can't find one in Europe this is an option with scart to BNC breakout. https://www.retroupgrades.co.uk/product/vga2scart/
