The entire collection of Astro Port shmups that Josh Prod ported to DC plus the newer games are on sale for 25 bucks during shmup week on steam. These are the steam versions not DC to be clear for folks.
Apparently Sonic Adventure: DX, and Sonic Adventure 2 are not available for Japanese region. Sega of Japan will be correcting that by releasing in 2024.
Old news about an upcoming game. Slave Zero X playable demo is now available, with a release date set next month. This prequel is set 4 years prior to the events of Slave Zero as we know on DC.
So I learned recently, Japan is missing a bunch of Sega titles, but still try to offer the bundles on steam. For example Jet Set Radio isn't available, so if you buy "Dreamcast Collection" you're only getting SA1 and SA2 at a discounted price. Shenmue I & II isn't available, but the Shenmue bundle is. Buyers would just be getting Shenmue III at a discount price again.
To me, this whole situation has been invisible as the US seems to be the favored region. Steam is pretty good about leveraging price differential for less-fortunate regions. They also celebrate internationally regional sales like Golden Week and Lunar New Year.
The flipside is Japan has games region-locked to the West, like Super Robot Wars V and X.
BOOM! ... and just like that 3 more Dreamcast titles snuck into the store like a ninja. All 8 installments of the Memories Off franchise are not region-locked, but they are Japanese-language only.
