Dreamcast won't recognize .NRG (Nero) file?

Hey there all. I got a downloadable image of Linux for Dreamcast, however it came in a Nero file format. After using Nero to burn the file onto a CD-R the Dreamcast popped up the music section, and would not recognize the disc (Even though I wrote it on my burners lowest write speed). Anyone know what could be the issue?
