How we have grown

It’s been some 15 years now, when gary_b told me there was a new Dreamcast site on the horizon. We were both over at onlineconsoles at the time and that place was pretty much ruled with an iron fist, so I decided to join up here and see where it took us.
We were maybe 30 or 50 enthusiasts at first, young guys in our 20’s & 30’s who had seen the rise & fall of many a sega console but never gave up on the brand.
More joined, the forum was expanded, grew, we now have a huge tech section and brilliant people who brought many games (and other stuff) back online over the years (and they keep working hard to make it even better), a big online platform with many folks playing, a collection section filled with rare items and so on, and it is all still growing.
We also have an awesome team that still does everything to make this the best Dreamcast related site on the web
I daresay I’ve actually made friends here over the years.
So here’s to you all for keeping the dream alive…

Such a nice post! I've only been here a year but have already felt more welcome and involved than I have in most other fanbases. There's an amazing network of people here all supporting each other and having great fun together. Long may the dream continue!

Without-a-doubt one of the coolest communities on the internet!

I gotta bug Impulse about making a 15 anniversary shirt. My 10th anniversary one faded away a while back. lol

I only wear my DC-T shirt when I go to a gaming related event, that way it’ll last longer and the message reaches more people at once

My 10th year shirt has survived quite well even though I still wear it from time to time. Notably I wear it when I am somewhere doing video game related things in the real world.

I just joined this community but I'm hella stoked. I remember getting my first Dreamcast for my birthday with Shenmue and Max Steel on February 26th, 2001, only to learn a month later that the console I had just gotten was being prematurely cancelled. Talk about a bummer, my dad was convinced that it would dominate over the other competition.
Little did we know, the Dreamcast would be alive and well multiple decades after it's advertised death, and you know I can't really say with certainty that the PS1. I'm excited to get online with everyone soon and get to know the community. Maybe I'll build a thing or two, I did get a degree in game design after all XD
