Are the nexus 16mb or 4mb memory cards good?

I was wondering if these memory cards are any good. I was looking at the VM2 but that is way too much for what it is.
I used to have a large storage card with 8 banks. Don't use PSO on those, as they are super prone to corruption. However I have never had problem with 3rd party 2X cards, or the official 4X card.
If you need extra storage, just get a handful on official 4X cards, can't go wrong with those.
