OK, so i've read about over clocking your DC (and the VMU to save). My question is whats the purpose of OC the DC? I read it can help make games runs smoother. is that true? But also that it can overheat your DC. Is that true? Why is that? Sorry for all the Q's. I've searched but couldnt find specific answers. thanks!

Well ive never done it, so i cant tell first hand. All i can say is that i would never do it, except if i had too much spare dc to play with. But what i can tell is..

Of course yes.. Thats general logic. Do that with a pc, or any electronic device, the heat increase is a direct consequence of overclocking.

If you add a good fan or a good ventilation system then you may overcome the heating problem, but it's not easy.

It's a good idea to improve the framerate, but most games don't need it.

OC is a good way to obtain 100% snes and gba emulation speed without frameskip.

A OC DC @ 240 MHz can emulate snes at 100% without frameskip and transparencies turned on (at least youtube says so...)
