BlueRetro Wireless Controller Adapter pairing issue

Trying to make the wireless controller jump with an AliExpress adapter called BlueRetro:

I'm trying to pair my generic Switch controller XB-324 and it just never works. I've tried hitting the BOOT button at various lengths. I've hit the reset button on the controller several times so I'm thinking it's in discover mode but so far no luck.

Has anyone else used this adapter? What was your experience?

If it’s anything like the brooks wingman adapter it’s just a chore to Bluetooth anything to it, I stopped using the brooks adapter just because of this. I bought the wireless Striker DC controller from Retro Fighters, it pairs easily and works great, It’s what I’ve been using for a couple weeks now
