Just seems like if the ps1 has a aftermarket memory reader and the dreamcast has a vmu, then everything after probably is capable of having something similar. Doesn't make any sense that they didn't make any for the xbox or the 360 even though it has a harddrive, being able to delete and play games on the card externally without plugging up xbox seems like a pretty good idea.

Well, I was wondering if there was a aftermarket one or if someone was working one of there own, maybe using a raspberry pi or something. I tried to look around the web and closest thing I could find is this

So maybe even though I don't have any experience in electronics, I look into seeing if it's even possible to make a visual memory card for the original Xbox either software or hardware wise.

To be honest, I think we should be walking around with something like today on current consoles.

Where did the innovation go?
