Hello all,
New here. I have a jpn Dreamcast and decided to finally change the battery . I used a kit Inc holder , fuse, cap and resistor .
What I'm experiencing now is that the DC boot loops to clock with the battery in. Things I have checked
Batt is ml2020
Voltage is 2.98
Voltage across holder terminals is with no batt is same
With battery cell completely removed DC boots with no date prompt. Date is shown as 1950
.I have tried reinserting the ribbon several times.
When saving the date it pauses a little I can't remember if this is normal or not.
I have tested everything I touched for shorts and can't find any. All solders look good.
I'm really hoping someone here has an idea because I'm a bit stumped now.
Cheers
Clock loop
