Can we finally dream of playing FFVII fullspeed on our DCs?

Just a quick video showing the bits from Falco's Twitter page

Being worked on by the dev - ZCRC

Project name: Bloom

Features listed on ZCRC's github - https://github.com/pcercuei/bloom

Hardware CD-ROM support, including original discs, even the copy-protected (libcrypt) ones

Using HLE emulation for the BIOS, no BIOS file required

BIN/CUE, CCD/IMG, MDS/MDF, ISO, PBP images are supported

CHD support can be enabled but isn't recommended, except on consoles with the 32 MiB RAM mod

Fully software-rendered for now

Compatibility should be very good

It's slow (not a feature).

At this stage the emulator uses software rendering, this is not suitable for the game, only for developers.

no, as long as software rendering is used, I don’t see the point in modifying the rest.
I will connect only if hardware acceleration is done
