Shut down when opening the lid

Hi guys, hows it going?
I just bought my first Dreamcast, which is (of course) used.
When I turn it on, it boots without issues; can navigate the firmeware menu. The fan spins correctly, smells fine, nothing burnt.
Now, Im playing a game for a while, but then I open the lid to change the game it shuts down right away, and wont turn on for some time.
I opened it, and tried cleaning the contacts of the PSU, as several times the issue was related to that, but no dice.
In the below video you can see the issue for yourself, Im simulating the lid opening and closing with the sensor. When I release, it shuts down.

I can let the console on and running for a while and it plays like normal (tried at least for ten minutes), but the moment I open the lid it turns off.
I dont know where to start to be honest...
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Change capaxitors maybe on gd board.

Yep, seems to be something related to Energy...
Just tried to play Worms World Party vs CPU Match and when loading, the orange led flickered, and the console rebooted. Then tried to start again two times but finally shut down.
There was no need to open the lid, but the lid thing happens every time I try.

Defect in the optical drive logic board.

It seems so! Ive just been playing some Capcom vs Snk, which doesnt seem to be a reading intensive game. After two fights it shut down itself, when loading something. A blown capacitor maybe.
Just ordered a GDEMU, so Ill let you guys know how it goes.

Not at defective pricee, but I bought it to a friend of mine that had it shelved for more than a decade.
The money isnt the issue tbh, I just wanted to play some DCs games.
But well, an update: the GDEMU arrived! version 5.15b, installed it a worked like a charm. No shutdown at the moment!
...but, now I have another issue (because trouble comes in pairs is the saying?): Now I have no sound.
Im very careful with these things, Im no expert but no amateur, so I can assure that didn't touch anything related to audio; always ground myself to not send any unwanted static, all precautions.
Any idea? :/

Nevermind, I used some 96% alcohol in the contacts of the av cable and it just worked. I guess it was just bad timing.
