Adding resistors to GDEMU

I was looking to add resistors directly to a GDEMU to address the 12V issue
Looking at this website, it looks like three 1000 ohm resistors, 0.25 W are added in parallel:

Would it make more sense to add one 330 ohm resistor, 1W? Seems like the soldering would be easier. Something like this:

Did you read the article?
The idea is good, but only one resistance is a bit tight, it will very quickly turn into a radiator

Yes, they kind of switched topics into adding resistor to the PSU then to the GDEMU

Do you have the overheating issue? It seems to only affect PAL consoles. It could just be loose or dirty connections on the PSU pins. Also closely look at the capacitors on the PSU and on the motherboard for leakage.

I don't. The console is NTSC. Just added a gdemu yesterday.

you don't need to add any resistor's to a US NTSC console GDEMU. I have had a GDEMU in my console for over a year, with heavy play and never experienced any problems what-so-ever. You don't need to fix something that is not broken. Relax and enjoy you Dreamcast and new GDEMU.

Totally agree
