The Shenmue Quiz for Sega Saturn is a special homebrew game that I’m developing with Douglas from the DreamQuest channel to celebrate Shenmue's 25th anniversary!


This trivia game is straightforward: answer questions about the Shenmue universe and keep accumulating points until the end to get your final score. As a tribute, we're using artwork from the anime and the iconic soundtrack from all three games in the series.

**Shenmue Quiz Challenge Update on Sega Saturn!**



*Shenmue Quiz Challenge* is a homebrew game created to celebrate *Shenmue’s* 25th anniversary! Set for a free release this Christmas, it will be playable on the Sega Saturn. In this video, you can check out the latest project updates.

**New in this update:**

- Save and load function for both internal memory and backup cartridge;
- Ryo shows new expressions when he misses multiple questions in a row;
- Art gallery where you can purchase Shenmue concept art using the score you earn in-game.

**What’s still in progress:**

- Resolving compatibility issues: some functions that run smoothly on the emulator are still facing challenges on the actual console – my biggest hurdle right now;
- Adding more questions to the quiz;
- Reducing loading times.

Next week, I’ll bring more updates on other projects (Dreamcast)! I was super focused on this Saturn project, which ended up being more demanding than I expected, haha. If you enjoyed it, drop a like to help with the video’s recommendation!
