Burnt Disc Weirdness - Crashing my emulator, but passing verification?

I'm incredibly new to the Dreamcast scene and trying to get over the hurdle of burning games. All the homebrew stuff I try works just fine, but retail games are much more finnicky.
My DC has a "1" on the bottom, so that's good, but that leaves the only culprit to be the .CDIs I'm using themselves!

I attempted to verify the game I'm trying to burn with IMGBurn, and it says it's good.
Okay, then let me try it in the console.
NOPE!
What about the emulator?
CRASHES when I load the "1ST_READ" file from the CD!
Well, the dump must be bad-- let me try that in the emulator.
Aaand it... boots just fine?!

Where is the end to this madness?!

Oh- I should mention- by "dump" I meant the .CDI
