My Dreamcast will read burned games, but not official ones

I bought a Dreamcast recently, and for some reason, it will only read burned games. I want to play some official games on there, so can somebody help?

Sounds like an issue with the laser, I recommend Recapping the disc drive.

You may also want to use a voltmeter on the 12v/5v/3.3v rails on the power supply while your DC is on to make sure the voltages are correct. Bad caps on a PSU can also affect the GD-ROM drive.
