Yeah, I have a Dreamcast mic.

Shamefully, I'm not familiar with using dreamcall. How would we go about setting this up?

Aww that sucks. Is there any BBA capable browsers like XDP that may utilize it?

for some reason pw3.0 has the data for dreamcall but only pw2.6 uses dreamcall. so its only useable on a dial up connection. :(
it connects to http://www.innosphere.net/ for voip.
i own a mic, need it for seaman. the dial up users out weigh the BBA users so it might not be a bad idea to push forward with this. you made us a PW 3.0 image too. so most of us would be able to access this feature.

btw when you say 3.0 has the data but only 2.6 uses it, does this mean 3.0 cannot use it even on dial up? and you have some experience with modifying PW 3.0 could it be possible to make it work with the BBA?

There is a lot of dial up users too. I don't want to discriminate ;). Unfortunately I cannot use dial up no matter what.

If it still works on dial up let us know.

lmao is anyone dialup here? for the record technically i am not on dial up. i canceled my home phone service and started using a PC-DC server. its hard to say if this would effect testing this out for dial up users. so it would be best if someone who has true dial up does it.

All i need to do is sign up with a free DC compatible ISP and I can use dial-up.
I will do this eventually so that I can test planetweb more, and also play 4x4 evo, starlancer?, and maybe maximum pool. although maximum pool kinda sucks!
i have seen the infomercial for magicjack and inquired about if it would be able to connect a DC to the web for gaming. i was told that voip does not work with DC gaming. what was said is that vonage did not work. and the assumption was that magicjack is basically the same thing. i,m interested if it will work for you. if it does i might grab one for my house.

i kinda like max pool. offline its kinda boring, but when you play human players online it gets better. the damn lobby chat truly sucks ass though. luckily the in game chat is a lot better.

Theoretically, the pc dc server should work with dreamcall if it still functions at all.

I have vonage and it definitely does not work with dial up isps for dc. I asked them about it and they said it would work for faxing but I guess that's it.

This magic jack thing sounds great but it probably works just like vonage. Smith, if you do decide to get it, please let us know if it works. I will get one to play starlancer and 4x4 evo if it does. I really miss not being able to play those games.

I believe Mr. Driller uses it to control some character functions. The Dreameye software uses it I imagine, but probably cannot be utilized anymore.

Planet Ring uses it. I think this game is PAL only and only online play but I don't have it so I'm not sure.
