so im looking at Phantasy Star Online on ebay and iv noticed there is two versions version 1 and 2, i have never played Phantasy Star before so i would like some advice on what to buy.

i did borrow it of a friend once and i know you have some sort of code to start playing it and as i didnt have this code i was unable to play it. can this be an issue?

I don't think the codes mean shit now the official servers are down.

unfortunately you still need to put a code in. i bought an used copy with out one and had to guess a bunch of numbers until i found one that worked. i think i tried all 7s and then 0s?


anyway you shouldn't even buy an American NTSC copy of 1 or 2. you should buy the PAL version 2. this way you can still take it online and play with community members here at some point. though the 1st NTSC game still works online your probably gonna want the 2nt version. its longer and has more shit in it.

Yep, its nice to see you want to buy an original copy of the game, but in this case, downloading it will really ease the process to play online. Youll have the best version (v2, the most complete) and ready to connect to our servers.

Also another good thing about the ISO's of the game here, are that some are minorly modded with new textures and whatnot.

I have yet to get the game, as I dont have my DC in the same room as my PC(for internet), and I don't have a DC-PC server set up for online, and my modem is revision B sadly...

That reminded me when i got online on dc-talk, 2 times i remember that my char turned into a fat humar with no id and some pretty messed up stats and items, the 1t time i corrected it by using a clean save, the 2nd time i actually tried to load the char offline, just to see what weapon was the "???? ???? +183", i mean it's not everyday we get to see items like that right?
Before entering pionner my game FSODs on the loading, lol, i guess the game isn't ready for such a superior weapon
