I need your expert advice chaps! I have just discovered in the region of 150 brand new Dreamcast games in my loft, as part of a housemove. I had completely forgotten about them!! I think they've been up there for about 5 years or possibly more!! Approx half are still wrapped and sealed and I have other new boxed bits and pieces. I am really surprised to see there is not only a market for these but some are considered rare and collectible. How should I go about selling them? I don;t know where to begin and who to trust! I have done some searches and ebay seems a safe way forward or do I go to a specialist reseller? Do I do this myself or do I sell everything job lot? How would I know whether I am getting best price etc? Half the titles I have don't even show up on google searches. You seem like the experts. Can you help me and where should I start?

Yes, it would be best to provide close up pics of all game spines back to back, and nice pictures of the accesories and odds and ends.
I believe you could speak to Adam and mazonemayu, as they have the most complete collections out of most of us here.

no anthony, going for the complete PAL collection+NTSC us games that weren't released in europe (+26 or so I believe) and then the rest of the NTSC jap games that weren't released in both other regions. > which is basically the entire dc collection indeed, but focussed on PAL region
btw, I found some doubles yesterday which I'm prolly gonna sell anyway, don't we heva a market section here?
edit: oh yes; adding to that that I'm also still working on my white label promo collection, which I'll prolly be unable to complete coz there's a few games in the list which are IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays

Thank you for your replies. No I am not spamming!! But I am not a fanatic nor expert, so if I sound slightly naive it is because I am genuinely gobsmacked and delighted that there is still such a fan base. I loved the Dreamcast but when time was up, as it were, we put it away when we bought the next big thing on the market and have done so ever since. I'm sure you're all wincing!! It is as simple as that, and we just forgot about it. The reason I have so many games unused is that I used to work for the manufacturer, so I had access to a large selection. Sega had a contract with EMI manufacturing at the time. The games are all UK though and it is a long way from being a complete set. I have two of some games for some reason. I know you are right when you say I have to take pics but I do have a list of the games if that helps?

Well you have sealed copies of Shenmue 2, Rez and Evolution 2, I'd say those were worth the most, and two copies of Taxi 2 which should net you around £50 each
Personally I'd say your best bet would be to break up the games that are worth the most (i.e the ones above) plus the street fighter and Marvel/Capcom games list them on ebay separately, the other I would list as Either a big bundle or break them down into smaller lots

Thank you. That's really helpful. I thought this may be the case. I am learning so much from this forum. Its really is great to see how many of you are such avid collectors. I have been looking at the posts from a couple of years ago regarding best places to source these games and to be fair the majority are through Ebay, so I guess that is my way forward. Would you recommend a Buy It Now price or a straight out auction? I have also now updated my spreadsheet with the few accessories that I mentioned I had previously. There are not that many but they are new. At this rate I'll be setting up my own shop!! It is likely that I will sell these therefore on Ebay.co.uk as I am based in the UK. I notice that the majority of forum members here are based in the US. Is this an American forum or international?
