Was there ever a yellow official dreamcast vmu? I have the official dreamcast yellow controller. But can't find the yellow vmu to match it. All the other colors like red, blue, green, white, and black all have the matching color with them. Just wondering...

Yeah there is. Mayzeneu has o a VMU. I don't think he has the controller though. There was a whole topic about this at OC a long time back. There are both really rare.

a) yes, I got the yellow vmu (got a fetish for the thingys :lol: )

b) its almost impossible to find nowadays & owners (like myself) know what to charge, should they sell it :mrgreen:

c) there's over 50 different vmus & half of those haven't showed up on ebay for years now...good luck

Sadly true. I've always had a semi-slight-maybe urge to collect vmu's and whatnot. But I'm also semi-slightly-maybe done collecting dreamcast hardware, so it won't happen.

They're really not that pretty. I think the only "rare" ones that I want are the one with numbers all over it (it looks pretty), and the "megadrive" one from the segagaga box set.

The only "rare" one that I have is the blue Sonic Team vmu & Sonic Team Phantasy Star memory card...

Oh, and the colored ones;

You can see the yellow one poking its head out in the controller^

*those controllers are modified with black parts, sorry~~

I've only seen the "complete" box set a few times for sale; including a tack set (of the different sega logo's, I really want this...), a t-shirt, a "megadrive" vmu (basically its black and says 16-bit on it... maybe 8-bit...i can't recall), and alot of paperwork + other small goodies.

I actually want the tack set much more than anything out of the game for a very bad reason;

I made a special wireless "dreamcast only" ps2 controller, with the useless right analog stick removed... and a simple cap over the hole. That metal dreamcast pin would/could be moulded / fitted right over that hole perfectly, giving it a solid, strong official dreamcast logo.

I of course can't afford the box set currently, nor am I willing to scrap up the pins just for that simple project if I ever do get it.

edit; iirc it does say 8-bit, cause the vmu is 8-bit itself, and it's paperwork said something about the mastersystem being 8-bit.
