Can we still video chat, dreamcall and send friends emails with pictures and small video clips?

I recall seeing footage of it in use, and it was released. I don't think it ever left Japanese soil although. I hardly doubt there is any service up for this, you would have to make a custom server.

well at least not in europe :s and personally the only footage ive seen is at e3 when it was yet unreleased..

it doesn't matter, since all dc hardware is regionfree anyway

I have one too, maybe we should try it online someday, but I'm not having high hopes
