I had never known that this was even considered to be in the works a decade ago.

The genesis game is in my top 20 fav games, and is one of the very few that I have a copy of in my collection + a "play list" copy for actually playing (i'm rather picky with my collection). The music in that game is far better than any 16 bit music EVER, better than most music from sega CD and saturn games. The dragonfly boss level music was so epic, the first ringtone I ever tired to make I literally got up to that stage and sat there and recorded it on my computer next to my genesis.


How much info is known about the canceled game? Did it ever make it past the "lets make X game!" Any beta's, music, screenshots?

Does someone know about the Star Fox Clone? Was it cancelled because of Sonic Shuffle?

We should have a sticky thread about unrealeased games, to gather all the data we have. And, maybe, we'll find another SS2 or Hellgate.

manolo pulled/restored some files from a DC Dev-Kit HDD. But nothing to work with just a few textures and soundsfiles, sadly. :/

That is a shame, would have been a great game on Dreamcast.

One more gem that could have lift Dreamcast higher. Too pity. I still play it on Megadrive. Game gear's cartridge is in dust tho :p

Some youtube comments are from people who claim to have worked on the game. One guy says he played through all the way to the last boss. So I guess it was basically complete, aside from gameplay tweaking.

Maybe it was cancelled because Sega just had to prioritize other releases.. plus, it seems to have been made by Sega of America, and Sega of Japan tended to look down on their American wing.

Yes, probably. Too bad in any case tho. Can you imagine if someone out there has the beta or demo of the game ?
